Nice. Thank you. A friend of mine, @nextwavef.bsky.social writes this on Futures, which sometimes touches on politics, and is always a stimulating digest and food for thought, just in case it's ofvl interest. open.substack.com/pub/justtwot...

Be interesting to read a substack on those differences between 1930s Germany (and US etc) and now, too one day.

I'll check it out, thanks. I was in the Reichstag a few years back, got chatting to a US gentleman and his wife about the pics showing Hitler's rise etc, and expressed my concerns about similarities re Trump. He not only couldn't see that, but was a fervent Trump supporter, too. We're mystifed in UK

Ha! Looks like I'll be reading them in reverse order, but v much looking forward to Birdmen, too. The political machinations in Congress described in Deep, also gave me - some - hope re the current state of affairs under Trumpism...though only some...🤞Keep up the great work, and excellent prose.

Sort of like what broadsheets used to do before they were owned by Murdoch and Saudi wealth funds? FT (print and online) best of current titles imho.

Try getting O2 in Winchester. Ombudsman refunded me, due to these issues, but O2 long knowingly runs a network here with (they've acknowledged to me) inadequate, busy network/switches. Same elsewhere? Productivity and efficiency costs nationwide significant. And frustrating - bus/med calls to voice.

I live 30 miles from where Putin ordered a nerve gas attack on UK soil. In my view, Clarkson is a traitor.

It might be more impressive if he had the oratory and visibility to match the act. A statesman faces the public, too.

Never previously heard (chez moi), but not bad! A wee bit more vim & vigour - and grit - and it's there! Oh for a time machine.
