New York 2027. I receive notice in the mail that it is time for my mandatory service as the bodega cat for the nearest city run grocery store. I put all my clothes in a locker and prepare to spend the next week sleeping on an unopened floor case of Fabuloso.

Was introduced to Bill Moyers the way I imagine lots of folks were -through his interviews with Joseph Campbell. But I came to really appreciate his journalism. His show NOW on PBS was exceptional.

A: no

Amongst the unbelievable amounts of bullshit the New York Times is unloading today, they do have a neat lil’ feature on Mamdani’s wife, Rama, an illustrator and animator. Including a link to her website: www.ramaduwaji.com

I wasted about $4 on this game once at the roller rink.

Connections thinks it’s really fucking clever today.

The three genders

I’m not a New Yorker, but I did visit once specifically to see a Laurie Anderson show, which I think bestows some kind of honorarium.

The fact that two of the country’s most unapologetically progressive politicians have been holding barn burner after barn burner rallies seems like it might have primed the party for anticipating this kind of enthusiasm.

Standing in line to pick up meds with a very fragrant wheel of Camembert in my bag. If anyone asks, I’m treating necrosis.

Nipples on the batsuit were a punchline, but it works really well as a heroic device both by evoking the mythic relationship to hoplite armor and by Schumacher being the one superhero director willing to actually acknowledge the sexual energy that exists somewhere in all this nonsense.

The Cuomo endorsements have just become a montage of Dick Tracy villains

The only movie adaptation of Arthurian legend in my lifetime to get it right.

Land of 10,000 takes

The fucking idiots doing it this time are making the fucking idiots who did it last time look like fucking geniuses.

This is the most demented product illustration I’ve ever seen in my life.

Things I seen at the pool today: -A dude with a full back tattoo of the Monstars team from Space Jam -A ten-year-old with a mustache and silver chain

I thought 28 Years Later was a fantastic movie, but I can also completely understand others not clicking with it at all. It’s been a while since I’ve seen a movie, at least a big summer popcorn movie, with such precise emotional attunement.

Even if I didn’t support trans rights on their considerable self-evident merit, I’d still have been alive long enough to recognize the widening repercussions when a small minority is isolated and demonized.

It was stupid, obvious, and built on a frighteningly solid foundation of a nation wanting revenge. But there was no AI social media shitposts, so this is indeed stupider.

I think about this juxtaposed against any other creative endeavor. Like if I just stated as a matter of course, obviously I use ai to draw hands. I would get so much deserved shit.

God, they’re not going to have anything in common

Man, if you guys get straws, cunnilingus, and fun tell me where to sign up.

Watching the original Lilo & Stitch with my kid and the watercolor backgrounds are so gorgeous. Singular even when 2D animation was the standard.

I was sifting through all the neglected emails from the kid’s schools which is how I learned one of their children worked at my son’s Montessori. I had been thinking how unbelievably horrible this would be for them, but this small context just reignited my fury all over again.

ICE Vows To Restore Order Using Whatever Force Unnecessary

When people say Bluesky is failing, I think they’re specifically talking about the lack of salty sea dog illustrations on the site. And I’m here to help remedy that.

I just feel here, at the end of the world, I should be able to get Symphony of the Night on Steam.

The Twin Cities also tries to lay claim to Bob Dylan as if didn’t run as fast away from this place at his earliest opportunity.

What Europeans don’t understand about the size of the USA, Americans don’t understand about the size of California.

I did this illustration a year and a half ago, but I’ve been thinking about it a lot recently.
