Delia has a lovely Spanish-y recipe where you hung chicken and rice in one dish with tinned tomatoes, peppers and paprika. Maybe olives too. It’s really good and makes good leftover

Ugh. This is my local councillor. Totally useless as a representative. Utterly mediocre, now elevated into an unworthy commentator.

Thanks for taking one for the team. I’m too hot & hormonally challenged today to put up with nonsense.

This was such a good interview @vicderbyshire.bsky.social. Brilliantly handled, a masterclass in giving interviewees space to tell their story.

Have they committed to publishing an apology? Because they ought to run that in the next print edition.
Sorry you’ve had a bad experience with our press Rebecca. I listened to your convo with Carole when it came out & it was great!

OK, I stand corrected.
C’mon @bylinetimes.bsky.social — apologise and retract.

I hope they’ll remove the piece and publish an explanation and apology. C’mon @bylinesnetwork.co.uk — you got this wrong.

Perhaps @hardeepmatharu.bsky.social or @peterjukes.bsky.social can discuss this editorial decision with you Rebecca. It does look like bad journalistic practice.

Gritty. Pernille would be Poonam or Pauline. She’d be exhausted, working in a run-down office with a bunch of mavericks having to subvert the system in order to work with troubled kids. They’d all be bitter but witty.

Couldn’t agree more! I sped through the whole series. Kept thinking how calm, sane and well-organised Norway’s child services seem to be.

St Mary’s still a site of struggle. It’s taken too long to get central govt to agree finances for desperately needed refurbishment @joepowell.bsky.social FYI

So interesting, thank you. Would love to see reflections on other African artists of the same period. I only know the South Africans (Gerard Senior, George Pemba, Noria Mabasa [born a bit later]. And the great Malangatana from Mozambique. Would make a great series!

This was such brilliant reporting. Hanya is an excellent narrator, very perceptive and compassionate. Even though her voice sounded so tired….

Yeah, similar. It was Easter weekend and we were away. Just a sense of disbelief. Then the Mandela moment when he took over the airwaves to speak to the nation. Went to Hani’s funeral in Soweto, feeling so much hope and sorrow at what was lost. Still think about his daughters….
