Businesses change their names every now and then and Iām OK with that.

I guess so yes I could call X Twitter, but Iāll stick with X thanks
comment in response to

Haha sorry thatās an auto-correct thingy. Iāll write x if that helps š

I was asked why I call š by its new company name and not by its former name Twitter.
So by ātheyā I mean the owner(s) of the company.

Does it matter?

Ok

Haha, I respect the logic behind companies being able to change their names. If that corresponds to that for you so be it sir š

Why would I not use a new name for a company or person, Stephen Hawking?

Its name is now formally registered as x.

They renamed it to x right?

Being delusional is different from being a fascist or being insane.
Saying delusional people are crazy and not to be respected is dangerous as well in my opinion.
But I believe itās clear we will not agree on this matter
comment in response to

So you are saying we should treat those people disrespectfully?

2/2 first comment. Maybe thatās not the right wording. With in touch I meant reading/ listening to those views online, not necessarily interacting with them by responding.

In person I think I could try. I could (and will probably) end up disappointed but at least I tried. And every time I did I believe Iād get stronger at discussing them the next time.
Not in person (as in online) I believe discussions generally donāt work well. I wrote āstay in touchā in my 1/2

In person Iād find value in challenging that person by starting a discussion about those things yes.
What is the alternative? To never listen or talk to that person again? And to not challenge those viewsā¦?

Why would I stay here and comment to your replies while you did not read or purposefully misrepresent what I saidā¦? I donāt enjoy that, but I donāt run away from it neither

I do not see the term fascists in Zackās original post that I responded to.

Not sure what you mean by that š¤š

In The Netherlands for example, the liberal party changed their views on environmental protection policies, whilst they disagreed to those same policies before. My question to you is though: Isnāt disagreement the start of many discussions and eventually solutions?
comment in response to

I might as well, but for now I still find a lot of news and topic related insights there. But did get to BlueSky to find out if itās a better alternative

Hey I change my opinion all the timeā¦! But I agree on reading books being a much better way to spend my time šŖ

Disagreements can be solved.

Iām not saying I want to stay in touch with fascistsā¦ Iām saying I want to stay in touch with people with different views and opinions. š and other online platforms provide me with that opportunityā¦ And Iām not sure whether BlueSky has no fascists neitherā¦
comment in response to

Thereās still people like me there that do not think that wayā¦
comment in response to

I agree, but I think I am better at confronting those in real life when Iāve been reading about different perspectives and views beforehand online.
comment in response to

Iām actually not actively looking for them to find them. Itās the people I used to follow and many are still there, that keep attracting others and so on. Or I look for subject that interest me and I run into many non-fascists that are still interesting even though their opinions are different
comment in response to

Thereās still people there that arenāt fascist when you look for them.
comment in response to

I believe itās important to stay in touch with people no matter how different they are. š, Instagram and Facebook (maybe also BlueSky but not sure since Iām very new here) provide me the platforms to access those different views and reflect upon them. Thereās a lot of value in that I think.
