There's a fascinating trend of AAU basketball teams having a Black coach but not a single Black player. These kids live in communities with no other Black kids--which is certainly an intentional choice that their parents made--but somehow they find a Black man to coach their white/Asian kids.

Make time to watch #SkyLives this Black History Month! He's a Vallejo legend who was deeply influenced by the beautifully diverse community that he grew up in. The documentary didn't dive into Vallejo as much as I would've wanted, but it's definitely an integral part of the band and their sound.
