I am confident Arteta and this group of players will win the league (obvs not this season!) If and when that happens, I just cannot imagine I am going to spend all my time posting absolutely non-stop about the chasing teams and muscling into conversations among supporters of those teams.

La Liga president Javier Tebas says he has reported Manchester City to the European Commission for alleged breaches of rules relating to state-owned companies. The complaint was made in 2023 and the case was currently in an "investigation phase". www.bbc.co.uk/sport/footba...

No Haaland vs Liverpool on the weekend. No Isak vs Liverpool today. How does one attain such luck?

The thing about Ødegaard is he is a lot better when he has Saka to play with The thing about Havertz is he is better when he plays up top and has the ability to link with Saka The thing about Martinelli is that a lot of his 22/23 goals came from having more access to Saka The thing about Timber

Ffs we’re never scoring again

Merino as a striker, Zinchenko as a midfielder, Tierney as some sort of defender-forward hybrid. Arteta's in full experimental mode.

Saliba 👏

Tierney coming on

HT: It was a low bar, but that was much improved from Saturday. I thought we moved the ball around nicely and looked threatening - even if you can see we lack ideas around the final third. Calafiori came closest by some distance. Bit more care needed from set pieces + would like some more shots!

Might as well give Forest the whistle at this point.

I like watching Calafiori when the ball is in the opposition half. I don't like watching Calafiori when it's in our half. Not ideal for a defender.

Arteta might be thinking about subbing off calafiori for Ben White

Wood wasn't even looking at the ball.

Imagine a PL without Haaland, Isak, Odegaard and Saliba. Liverpool don’t have to imagine it

Foden this season

Neville trying to draw a comparison between Liverpool today and Arsenal's games at the Etihad in 22-23 & 23-24. He just seemed to miss the bit where Arsenal were playing probably the best team in the world at that time.

Cold light of day, Liverpool absolutely deserve another title for what they have done over the last 7-8 years, especially as they have almost certainly had titles taken from them due to *redacted* I remain confident Arsenal will do it under Arteta.

Salah is on 40 Premier League goals and assists this season. The record is held by Erling Haaland who scored and assisted 44 times in the 2022/23 season. There are 11 Premier League games left for Liverpool after today.

Leaving Salah unmarked in the area was a bold choice.

No complaints with that red card, Lewis-Skelly gets caught, brings Kudus down - he's through on goal otherwise. Another miserable day in a miserable season.

Ffs Arsenal

I thought United were lucky to get away with that (once the initial decision was given). Young definitely makes the most of it, but you can see a clear shirt pull from De Ligt and then another one from Maguire. It's a foul. Quite hilarious that VAR didn't even show the right camera angles.

Quite unbelievable VAR intervention here, going against every single protocol I can think of.

Was that a clear and obvious mistake by the referee

If Everton wins this, Moyes will have collected 16 points since returning, while Amorim who started 2 months prior has collected 14 points.

We are watching a live-action masterclass in how not to run a football club. This has been bubbling in the background for years, but it’s amazing how INEOS have shredded any sense of goodwill from a no-lose situation. They haven’t got a single thing right.

In my opinion, here's what we should do if Nwaneri is the superstar we think he is, but we also have Saka/Ødegaard healthy and firing: celebrate

Could solve many of the calendar problems by handing the Champions League to Real Madrid now.

Propaganda in full flow here. Howard Webb and Michael Owen are doing their best to justify why it could have been a red card. Wouldn't it have been better to raise your hands up and say we'll do better next time? But alas, I didn't expect them to do that. youtu.be/lo0KuiLzCUA?...

Remind me how long since Saka played. To still be top of this stat is insane tbh.

The thing with Gary Neville that has been abundantly clear for a long time is that he’s a busy guy and he just doesn’t watch football anymore. The only games he watches are the ones he works on, which is why he transitioned to lazy, narrative based analysis. He should hire a researcher.

I'm obviously biased bt, Arteta has been amazing this szn, no excuses, coming up w solutions. With everything that has happened we could've fallen off the cliff, bt we are still 2nd. Imagine the praise if he wasn't Mikel, anyways we should never expect any validation for what we feel. #Arsenal

~70% of this without Saka, on top of everything. Arteta's best work as a manager.

The pressure of a title race evident in Liverpool's game today. 16 shot attempts from Wolves and to be honest, a more clinical team would have picked up a draw or a win there. 7 points gap, Villa and City away for Liverpool in the next 7 days. Next week will either make or break the title race.

Do Beyonce, Kendrick and SZA not worry about their brand being associated with this guff appearing at the same venue?

I cannot express just how excited I am for the spurs-united game. It has all-timer shitshow potential.

Arsenal must sign a disappointing left 8 every summer, so they can become a highly impactful striker in every February

As fans, we can get fucking silly with expectations of teenagers. Which makes it all the more shocking when players like Jude, Yamal, Saka, MLS, Nwaneri manage to exceed them. A lot of kids have touch — I just can’t really fathom their brains/composure.

Merino!!!! Nwaneri with a deserved assist

This has been a hall of shame performance from Sterling Can’t believe I’m saying this but get Merino on and put Trossard on the left at half time

Nwaneri the only one who’s turned up so far, need the rest of the big names (odegaard, Trossard, etc) to step up

They can’t park the bus

Arteta said today that William Saliba responded to Kai Havertz’s injury by offering to play up front. Apparently Saliba used to bag loads of goals as a striker in his youth days. Arteta: “Willy is so funny.”
