Am I right that this didn't get voted on and will instead be voted on on 24 January 2025? The website doesn't appear to be updated.

Aye, we certainly should be growing our own barley and turnips to eat.

They wouldn't have me. I'm stuck in Little England. I'm looking to buy my first EV. Do you think there are any EVs that the manufacturer (or others) can't brick with a non-optional firmware update, and so on? Also, I don't want to be locked out of my car because my mobile's battery is dead.

I imagine the field of choice is going to shrink to near zero over the next few years?

I like looking at other people's libraries. I think I have one of those books somewhere.

The mentor. I'd learn how to write better code and level up.

Yer nobs say "What?" They don't do begging, aparently.

Can I have a fusion of both please? And the mentor/codebase expert is there 100% of the time and has infinite patience. And I don't have to tell it stuff because it sees what I'm doing.

Perhaps what I'm asking for already exists and I should just look for AI that acts like a true mentor. I don't have access to it right now so it would be an advance for me to have it: it would be a tool that helped me make better software.

Have I said something silly? I like to write correct, efficient, readable code. I make mistakes. I'd like the option to get high quality feedback from my computer.

Awesom.

An AI code pair buddy that could spot bugs and suggest better/more efficient/best practice alternative ways of writing what you just wrote so it was like having Bjarne Stroustrup looking over your sholder and teaching you. It would have the full 10 million lines of code in the project in its "head."

Good questions Ben. I don't know.

I never had any doubts that Bluesky is my new home. X? What does that have to do with me? But... unfortunately, my reach here is still much smaller and less relevant than it was during Twitter's golden days. If you can help, my main topic is Climate Change, and I’m a sustainability data analyst.

Good luck for tomorrow.
