Update: I got out. The path was actually only a few metres away but I had to walk in the middle of a stream while ducking low to avoid the shrub branches hanging over it.

The lesson to be learned here is that just because it looks easy on Google Maps to get from one path to another, doesn't mean it is.

Oh yeah and this is where I've just come down from. It's super steep, still wet from the rain and mostly made out of sand on the surface. How I got down without any (at least minor) injuries is beyond me.

For context, this is where I am now. There's no visible way out and the nearest path is like 100 metres away. I need to re-evaluate my life choices.

I think that the 4th district (Owens's seat) is actually the most red district in the state after redistricting. But if the map gets thrown out one of them will have to go, Owens feels like a likely choice.

I don't even mean that in a "she outperformed the partisan lean of her state" way.
She literally won three separate, shockingly close re-election victories against challengers from her right, with token opposition from Democrats.
And this is from a state that isn't even that red to begin with.

I genuinely thought this was what the third amendment meant when I first heard of it

I was thinking of her. I was a big supporter of her campaign back in 2020.

Not going through passport control in airports is also one of my favourite things to do.

Brussels people, if anybody has any leads on any jobs in the policy field, please let me know.
English or Spanish speaking, and preferably in areas of climate, energy, defence, foreign affairs or constitutional affairs, but also interested to see what's out there in general.

*Very* bold to have more D-held seats on the list than R-held.
Also, how long have you been writing for the Independent?

I personally think that somewhere down the line, if the US drops its extremist tendencies, they should make an Acts of Union type deal, involving the US restructuring its welfare state and passing several constitutional amendments, and then Canada joins as six to twelve new states.

We need to pretend this makes the tiniest bit of sense. Just because Canada has free healthcare and uses the metric system it doesn't mean it isn't far more similar to the US than it is to Europe.
Don't get me wrong I think a close alliance with Canada is especially important right now, but really.
