The problem is that their targets are ridiculous. Why Stonehenge and not shell’s headquarters? Why blockade a motorway when you could target a particular brand of fuel forecourts? Hurt the polluters not the public.
You can achieve the same ends without looking like self indulgent clowns.

It’s not just the contractors- MoD internal processes and policies add constant delay and costs. Coupled with lack of accountability and relevant skills the value has gone before the contractors are even involved.

Would be worth considering the child’s age as well - I think there is likely to be a big difference esp when considering the impact of mat (or even pat) leave.

I don’t know - this doesn’t reflect my experience at all but that’s just anecdotal and not data.
Hard to say without comparable data.

To be fair on that measure none of the responses are likely to completely wipe out humans.

Is there a version based on what fathers report? Be interesting to see if the perceptions are the same.

Luckily our brave press will call it out for what it is and not hide behind terms like ‘odd looking’ gesture in their headlines.

Just think it’s a really self indulgent form of protest that alienates so many people and achieves nothing.

Not saying it’s easy - been doing environmental stuff for over 20 years and agree things are getting worse not better.
Still more productive than vandalising stone henge though.

Barclays are generally considered one of the worst banks for funding climate change- you could picket their branches and encourage people to swap to greener alternatives such as nationwide.

If you are not paid by the oil companies you should be.
Instead of attacking our cultural heritage you should be going for the corporations and politicians who are causing the problem - maybe a bit too difficult for a bunch of attention seeking fools.

Only person in question has the right to chose how and when they die.
In this context sanctity of life is just another nebulous concept people use to impose their will and beliefs on others. Doesn’t sound very liberal to me.

When every decision is driven by accountants and profits are seen as sacrosanct this is the world we get.
Also see sewage in our rivers and the tepid response to climate change.

Much easier to do the ‘ BBC balance’ bollox or crass gotcha questions.
Most are too lazy to actually understand what they are paid to talk about so treat it as a soap opera.

Women who retired at 65 demanding that those who will retire at 67 (at the earliest) pay them compensation? Not sure that’s fair.

Amazed that millionaire farmers getting a slightly less beneficial deal on IHT is so salient as well. Maybe just reflects what the media push.

Obviously depends on lots of factors but less land take, only one set of foundations and roof, denser occupancy etc. Don’t know anything about this project but it MAY be a more efficient way of creating office space.
Whether what London needs is more offices is a different question.

New developments have to enhance the existing biodiversity by 10% which is a challenge when all the area beneath the panels is excluded. Agricultural land is usually the least biodiverse so a 30 year development would probably enhance wildlife.

But as it stands we keep people with zero quality of life going for years against their will.
From personal experience I never want to be kept going with I.e dementia because society has the power to prolong but not cure suffering.
