You have no reason to call it the Gulf of America beyond appeasing someone who demonstrably can't be appeased. Take your lumps now while you still can and have some spine. Otherwise, it's going to be harder and harder to maintain your ethics.

I teach The Sailor who Fell From Grace with the Sea, and it's fun to give 12th graders that bio information. "Oh, and then, after the coup, he disemboweled himself while his boyfriend decapitated him. Anyhoo, chapter 1 ends with a masturbation scene as the 13 yo boy watches his mother have sex."

It reminds me of people who try to insult with the term "social justice warrior." Isn't all justice social? Is there justice that isn't social?
