As an immigrant myself I know how obsessed one can get about not violating any laws or regulations. Obviously, a lot of born citizens don't care and even can become President. They even don't care about the oaths they have sworn to uphold and defend the Constitution: www.usa.gov/inauguration...

Currently in Texas in a region without any NPR radio broadcast. No wonder how they vote --or vice versa?

Regulations did not prevent us from Australian media mogul Murdoch making Fox and WSJ into what they are and how Fox is brain washing our country out of being an open-minded democracy. Yes, if there wasn't an audience, then this would be a moot point. NPR, NPR, NPR. Are you a Sustainer???

Most likely the SSA systems are ancient (COBOL anyone?) Never enough money and time to rewrite them. No wonder there are out of date data. Nothing Twitter/X or PayPal would know about, right?

Phone call: Putin reiterates nuclear option (WW III). Trump blinked. Advantage Putin. Trump gives away all Ukraine's (trump) cards. Trump tells Zelensky he's risking WW III. Bullying Ukraine into concessions. Not using any leverage against Russia...

Yes; however, German history also shows that there is a way to fend off opposition early by silencing its leaders based on all sorts of pretenses. Like Khalil, because he "only" has a green card (never mind his American wife). This is toeing the water and will get worse.

Not nearly enough people read Hannah Arendt. The beginnings of the "Third Reich" looked rather innocuous. It's the folks that go along with the beginnings that allow worse to happen. Republican Congress people not speaking up are enablers of evil.

Seems plausible. Foreground chatter (smoke and mirrors) to hide the true long game. Like they scramble the playbook for totalitarianism to make even political pundits believe they are not following that playbook.

He's one of the last few Republicans showing some spine lately. I never liked him, but I respected that in some brief moments he resisted our country being destructed by selfish oligarchs.

First release the offenders, including known violent ones, to create an even more vicious and devoted core of a militia, then withdraw security details from critics and opponents, like Fauci, Pompeo, Bolten, Milley, etc. "Ein Schelm, wer Böses dabei denkt" or "Honi soit qui mal y pense".
