I recommend Manjaro as a great Linux distro, but Debian based distros WILL be the easiest to use due to their popularity.
Proton offers a VPN service as well as secure email, and it's wonderful. Most of their plans let you use your owned domain for email too so, you know if you're into that...

That's true, it IS a fringe opinion these days and I truly hope the holdouts that are left come to terms with it, and soon. The next four years will be rough not just in the US, but Europe too once conservative leaders there start pushing to be more like the US. And it's going to keep going too.

It's more of a "you aren't really trans UNLESS you are on HRT" type of drivel. So anyone who can't afford it or don't have access to it or just plain don't want to for whatever reason are, allegedly, fake trans people. There's also an even more fringe variety for reassignment surgery.

All I'm saying is that, at least as far as the USA is concerned, everything can be split down the line of fascists and minorities, all the way back to the beginning. It never gets complicated. It was always the same group of people doing things. This is the simplest line in the sand to understand.
