The best part of Expedition 33 is how goofy it can be. I thought this when they showed off the eventual "vehicle," but it's so nice to see a game inspired by Japanese RPGs that realizes part of the sauce is being a tad whimsical.

You're not improving on turn-based combat by adding action aspects. It's a different style of gameplay. You're not "fixing" turn-based by adding timed elements - you're making something else. RPGs come in Action, Turn-based, and Hybrid varieties. And each style has its fans.

Doing Deepest Dive research, and I found a copy of the original 1699 'Dialogue sur le coloris' by French art philosopher Roger de Piles showing his creation and use of the phrase "Clair Obscur" (or chiaroscuro) for the first time, meaning the accentuating of colors though the use of contrast. Neat!

During the PSN outage I plugged my PS3 back in and was able to download the Ratchet & Clank HD Collection and discovered that EVERY PS3 RATCHET GAME is available to purchase digitally. 2025 might be my Ratchet era.
