I'm fairly convinced that a lot of the phrases they use in cases like this don't actually have a meaning, per se. They're just there to sound good and be convincing, with nothing to back them up. Truthiness, as it were.

The problem with thinking that trump will always cave is it ignores that trumps policies, such as they are, are doing real damage. Even if he relents, the policies are still going to cause real problems, and people taking "it's no biggie" may be caught out cold. "IF" isn't the sturdiest base.

Some people are dickhead assholes with to little to occupy their time and minds so they find things like this to be mad about.

As I understand it, this won't derail the ruling party of Poland, the president has the veto, and that's the largest weapon that will be used by this one. It's going to derail big changes the current government wanted to make, but it isn't going to derail everything. Least of all support for ukraine

With histories of success for polygraphs like that, makes you wonder why they still bother? I'd suspect it was a fig leaf, but ....

To be fair, that's what finance bros do/hire people to do all day long so they thought that was what "efficiency" was
