Unfortunately, the setting that blocks external apps on the role level doesn't actually prevent them from using it on the server, either--it just makes it so that they are the only one who sees the message. So turning that on is actually worse. It lets people using it fly under the radar.

"A few minutes" is still short shrift, but hits a bare minimum that can be worked in with existing lesson plans and testing requirements and makes room for the seeds of seeing and recognizing that Native and Indigenous people are still here NOW.
(Usually living in different buildings and clothes.)

Those percentages are *appalling.* It's important to teach history, but even if the unit being covered is 200 years ago, spare a few minutes to connect it to and acknowledge people in the PRESENT. I've had it out with schoolteachers over this. Adults need to be curious about lessons being taught.

1. Bsky has gotten a lot bigger all of a sudden, so more targets to bother with for scamming, or worse.
2. Apparently some kinds of people are very upset that a bunch of us moved out of earshot and decided to chase.

Blocked and reported, and at least the accounts have since been zapped by Bluesky. Sucked that it was the *first* interactions on it though.
(Also they run searches for the site name, which is why I danced around it contrary to bsky custom.)
