How will the national security apparatus discuss top secret stuff now? www.nbcnews.com/tech/securit...

Both of these guys served in military reserve units, and both served in combat zones. The guy on the left is a Rhodes scholar, speaks several languages, plays several different musical instruments, and is mega smart. The guy on the right has, well, check out Wikipedia for yourself; it's a doozy.

A man who holds the title of President of the United States, who took an oath to protect and defend the Constitution, who then says he doesn’t know if he’d uphold the Constitution, is unfit to be president and should be removed.

Neil deGrasse Tyson on who is the greatest scientific mind in history.

Most Americans frequently use federal science information. But few are concerned that cuts to federal science spending could affect their access to such information, a new poll finds.

It’s comically gendered. “don’t you worry your pretty little head about the dolls and the strollers, we’re focused on manly gasoline.”

Nothing to see here. Just @emilyjaynef.bsky.social being forcibly removed from NY-17 Rep. Mike Lawler's town hall tonight for having the temerity to act like a citizen of the United States. Hero.

Muller: What he’s done in the case of the FEC is he said, “we’re going to just outright fire the biggest advocate who’s taking on corruption..” Then they’re just going to leave the other vacancies open. Because, again, if there’s not at least four members on that commission, they can’t do anything.

And there it is. The law he's using to make all those tariffs literally excludes films (among other things) from the scope of his powers. He can't do shit here. It's 100% unenforceable even before the "how" of it all. Thanks to @nanosauromo.bsky.social for the info.

GOP is mighty silent on the "I dont know if I have to uphold the constitution" president, whereas Obama wearing a tan suit was close to a national emergency. Wtf is wrong with these people??????

Pediatricians say that childhood vaccines are safe. A heroin-addled nepo baby with a brain worm says they may not be. For busy voters, it can be hard to know who to believe.

Jasmine Crockett isn't being quiet about it—when it's time to elect the next House Oversight Committee ranking member, she wants the job. And she’s earned it. Let's back up @repjasmine.bsky.social . We need her voice in leadership—ASAP!

Mount Saint Helens, 1980. The big boom really grabs your attention, of course. I think the first part of the video, where nothing much seems to be happening until you realize the *entire mountainside* is sliding down, is even more awesome. 🧪⛰️🧵

NEW VIDEO: If there is one consistent theme in voter suppression, it is that Republicans hate students voting. Now, two advocacy groups and a student voter are challenging Indiana’s new law banning the use of student ID for voting. Paige and I explain. youtu.be/VqwQU6GwRzU

Reporter: How did you decide to reopen Alcatraz? Trump: I was supposed to be a movie maker… Nobody ever escaped. One person almost got there but they found his clothing rather badly ripped up, a lot of shark bites…

At a recent Republican town hall in Somers, New York, constituent social worker Emily Feiner from New York’s 17th Congressional District was violently ripped from her seat, manhandled by several men, and forcefully carried out of the venue. www.newsweek.com/constituent-...

the president’s policies will carpet bomb the economy and ruin millions of lives but don’t worry, he and his failchildren will come away from everything as rich as ever

Page One must have been crowded. So NYT puts it on Page 13. 🤡 @schooley.bsky.social

You know that Twilight Zone episode where the kid has amazing psychic powers and can make people disappear with his mind and the entire town is hostage to him and has to cater to his every whim? That’s us right now.

"These are not historical messages. These are things that are happening exactly at the time where the hacker is intercepting them." That's, uh, not great. @josephcox.bsky.social discusses Signalgate part 2 with @eggerdc.bsky.social:

Allow me to address the elephant in the room: The decades-long outsourcing of domestic manufacturing to China was not an insidious Chinese conspiracy for dominance but the greedy strategy of the American ruling class to explode its profit margins by exploiting global inequality.

Former Homeland Security Adviser Olivia Troye on Stephen Miller: "He is a horrible human being...He's all about using lawfare for whatever purpose."

In space, Venus flanks Earth on the left, with a hellfire greenhouse effect. Mars on the right, which long ago had running water. Today, it's bone dry. Something bad happened on each planet. Seems like the wrong time to limit the Nation’s capacity to conduct climate research.
