if anyone's good at taking a little short term pain for long term gain, it's china (and japan). and while this is disruptive for china it's catastrophic for us. they can still trade with everyone else! we can't.

@eightman.bsky.social people must have spammed it so hard you can't even leave a message. sad. i called to report an "elon musk" as an illegal lawbreaking immigrant that should be deported.

he gets so wrecked every single time he posts. it's glorious. obviously it's some poor social media intern but it really cheers me up to think of chuck alone at night crying over his ratio

we have converted our obsolete chest freezer (100+ year old analog refrigeration technology) to the modern practice of ordering doordash whenever we're hungry, saving us an average of $24/year on cooling costs

because AIPAC hasn't called chuck schumer and personally told him to do this upon penalty of death yet?

dan ives admitting tesla is broken is like the captain of the titanic saying "i think we may be sinking" from the literal floor of the atlantic ocean

the faster and harder it falls the quicker things should change. i think a slow bleed is the worst case scenario. we're going down, let's just get there ASAP

the reason that take sucks is that our entire country was started because of a protest. yes i realize that's an oversimplification. but idk...american revolution, french revolution...how do these things not matter?

ok yeah super genius plan except he's said for 40 years "i just like tariffs". he just likes tariffs. he thinks they're a hack that no one else has thought of.

my father in law LIVES IN NEW YORK CITY and has never taken the subway because he thinks it's dangerous.
we go visit, and we take the subway, and we get to the place faster than him and he's just mystified by how we did it A. faster B. cheaper C. more fun

yeah you can tell he feels like he's SO clever

how about The Last Word Out Of Chuck Schumer?
comment in response to

also...we've got sanctions on russia so the tariff is effectively infinity percent. so it rings pretty hollow.

do you pay people to click the like button so that your ratio is less embarrassing?
comment in response to

nah you were 100% right

i think this is giving them too much credit. i think trump actually believes trade deficits mean we're getting screwed and that tariffs will help us.
