More context. I don't mind pop and in some cases I really like it too. Imaginal Disk is probably my favorite album this year above all the rap albums I listened to except for maybe the JPEGMAFIA album. I just don't like Kendrick's execution on the pop sound, I never liked his song LOVE for example.

As an artist there were a lot of complicated feelings I could relate to with the frustration of wanting to improve. I immediately went to draw when I was done lol
