Found this little guy this morning down by my dock. It’s the smallest mudpuppy I’ve ever seen. No human hands have touched this little guy.

Cooper’s good buddy Millie the insane Border Collie is here for a visit. After a morning when chaos reigned, we took them to a very cold Lake Michigan beach. Peace settles into the house. But this is only temporary. They will awaken soon. I love these dogs.

Fall means time to start up the charcuterie. Tried something different: shoulder bacon. Takes a while to cure and smoke, but no complaints so far.
