they really need to invent a second type of money these guys can play around with separate from the money I need to buy food. Business Money. Money 2

25th Amendment He’s completely insane

Today's Headlines

What a mess.

Does he . . . does he think drug smugglers are going to pay tariffs on fentanyl?

Fight U.S. tariffs. Protect workers. Build a stronger economy.

February 1

But...but...but HER EMAILS!

Big Law firms and partners have choices about whether to capitulate or to stand tall. History is watching.

D.A.R.E. to keep oligarchs off drugs!

🚨Sen. Tim Kaine is sounding the alarm: Trump’s war on Veterans is deliberate. Thousands of Vets are being fired with no way to fight back. Clinics are opening with a third of the staff they need. Care is collapsing. “When you know Veterans will be hurt—and do it anyway—that’s a choice.”

You know things are bad when Mike Pence is the voice of reason

Black history will not be erased. I’m honored to help lead an effort to rename the House Press Gallery after Frederick Douglass --  an abolitionist, orator, and journalist.

McKinsey, Blackstone, Blackrock, and Goldman have destroyed more American jobs than foreign competition.

Presidents shouldn’t have the power to pardon anyone. It’s all so corrupt.

Oh. National Security Advisor Mike Waltz is in at least another 20 Signal group chats? And he’s sending sensitive information on Gmail too? This guy is a disaster.

It’s sad that it requires courage right now for a university president to file something as straightforward as this, but it does. Thanks to Tufts University President Sunil Kumar for filing this. www.tufts.edu/president/sp...

More of this, please! 🧵 Incredible! NJ Sen Cory Booker endured days without food and deliberately dehydrated himself to deliver a marathon 25-hr speech on the Senate floor—shattering the record set by Strom Thurmond, whose filibuster was a desperate attempt to defend Jim Crow laws.

Absolutely tired of the psychodrama of one country being the problem of the entire planet.

Someone should liberate us. From him.

Reporter: April 9th, these tariffs come in place. Do you plan on having negotiations before that date? Bessnet: I-I-again, I'm not part of the negotiations. So you know, w–we'll see. Reporter: Canada and Mexico, notably missing on that chart. Why is that? Bessent: Um. I'm not sure.

The tariffs are catastrophic. But so too are the abuses of power, so is the corruption, so are the police state tactics, so is the destruction of our health care infrastructure, so are the ways our national security is being endangered, so are the attacks on our core freedoms.

Shocked! Fetterman just voted to end Tariffs on Canada. For this one thing , thank you Fetterman. Senate votes... 46 End Tariffs on Canada 48 mmKeep Tariffs Still counting votes

Oh, so that’s how he bankrupted a casino.

Measles and tariffs, what century is this?

Straight down seems bad

Everyone wants there to be a grand scheme behind all of this but the terrible truth is that extremely stupid people are in charge and they have a fanatical devotion to wrong, childlike concepts of society and economics cooked up by right wing radio hosts in order to sell tainted dietary supplements

I did not make this and don't know who did, all the same - lmao

And therein lies the issue.

“The President’s desires cannot be ignored”

It took a lot of stupid to get here but we did it

I posted the video over 2 years ago. People thought he was bluffing I guess.

I'm watching CNBC. These anchors are so angry. They really didn't believe he'd do it. They're actually just now, 10 years into this shit, realizing he's a maniac hellbent on revenge and there's no grand plan for the markets. Better late than never but holy shit.

Thank you and congratulations to all the Americans who voted for the candidate promising to raise prices because they were concerned about high prices, and thought curbing pandemic inflation faster than any other developed economy was bad economic management.

I find it outrageous as well.

what if it just took one though

Burn it all to the ground and buy up the land and water and minerals at rock bottom prices. This a fire sale for the oligarchy. How do I know? They’ve already done it to rural America…

It almost seems like they’re trying to kill us.

We had our FDR. His name is Joe Biden. Left us a booming economy. We’re going in reverse.

Can someone explain the rules here - sincere question as I do not know them. Is this like a game where we only get three red cards a year or something? I love this. Just curious why we’re not doing it more.

For no particular reason, it might be a good time to repost my Starter pack of academic economists who study international trade go.bsky.app/G3dqAYg

March saw the third-highest number of layoffs in U.S. history, and 80% of them were caused by DOGE This was before the tariffs It's just...unbelievable
