DOGE is like if Fyre Festival was a government agency.

Wanted to crosspost this here from twitter this morning I was at @repmcgovern.bsky.social's “Coffee with your Congressman" town hall today at Holy Cross. 700 people showed up. The overflow area was standing room only. It was scheduled for 1 hour but McGovern stayed for 3.5 and heard everyone out.

On Wednesday I was the first to report Leland Dudek was on the verge of losing his job at the Social Security Administration when he was suddenly promoted to acting commissioner by Elon Musk. Thursday I published a story with more details. I’ll let you guess if I got any credit in this Post story:

"I guess I have a thing about islands, I love the people on them." Hear Mary Bergman's latest essay for A Cape Cod Notebook.

"We loved it and we couldn't stop drinking it. So I always sort of had it in my head that I was going to figure out how to make it." Listen to the latest Local Food Report and find out how to make Lou's creamy limoncello.

JUST IN: A company spokesperson confirmed today that Vineyard Offshore has laid off employees and contractors and cut unfilled positions to reach a total of 50 job cuts in the U.S. and Europe.

The Sagamore Bridge project could lose federal funding under Trump. From the StreetsBlog article: "The state's grant application included detailed references to 'environmental justice,' rising sea levels along the Cape Cod Canal, and other consequences of climate change."
