Every time I watch "Mobile Suit Gundam: Char's Counterattack", I enjoy it more. It ain't perfect, but it's a hell of a film. I don't seem to recall from the previous theatrical run the picture getting out of focus so often, however.

I love seeing Gundam's handlers continue to display their inability to understand how to make it successful. Gundam's too established for it to become inconsequential, but this will hamper the ability for this new series to entice new fans into the franchise. Here's hoping they expand distribution.

For me it was "New Mobile Report Gundam Wing". I saw the second episode on Toonami as it aired the first time and thought it wasn't very good. It didn't take long for Gundam to become my favorite fiction franchise ever, but I distinctly remember bouncing off that first experience with it.
