I just want to review and talk about video games without culture warriors hijacking the conversation. PS Joel had it coming Any/all - πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡ΈπŸ‡ΊπŸ‡¦πŸ‡πŸ‡°πŸ³οΈβ€πŸŒˆπŸ³οΈβ€βš§οΈ Freedom baby!

ya i really like Dune: Awakening..i'm not a huge fan of survival game, usually bounce off them but i do have years of mmo experience so its hitting a specific spot for me in a unique way. 15 hours in and i'm very impressed

Stellar Blade is a 9/10 - good port, very limited issues. The game itself is fascinating and culture war shit is boring. Speaking of boring, Eve is truly dull and any comparison to 2B is purely aesthetic since 2B is a great character. But, dull characters and bad story doesnt ruin the great combat.

AI Limit is a 7/10 - i'm a bit disappointment after finishing this one. Its pretty much a standard soulslike. The combat is decent, its a competent game that nails the basics and that used to be enough for a non FS soulslike but not in a post Lies of P world. But The First Berserker...well..

after playing the Stellar Blade demo i cant wait to review this game. btw good job to them that the port seems completely fine. its not the best looking game of the generation but it was stable and like LoP, thats def preferred

Doom: The Dark Ages is a 9.5/10 - this might be a bit controversial of a score but this game is incredible. Yes, the music isnt as good as Eternal but its still a solid OST. But everything is core to what i enjoy about Doom is near perfect.

The music is good in Doom the Dark Ages but its just not quite to the level of 2016 and Eternal. I really think they should have gone a bit wild with it, heavy af and a bit experimental but thats prolly the last thing the publisher would want to hear. Its still good but Mick is something else

lastly, i want tto document my experience as a disabled gamer with my new PS5 and adaptive controller. i'm going to play Astrobot, DS2, and GoY on it. I guess i'll do this on bsky but if anyone has a better idea let me know. <3

#Review Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 is a 9.5/10 - the strongest argument for this being a masterpiece is that i didnt connect with the story and characters like some have but its still great characters with strong writing and outstanding gameplay. This is a critical score so yes, its amazing

i was a fan of Doom Eternal but i prefer the style of combat of Doom DA so far. Though as far as i didnt jive with Eternal at times, its hard to argue against it being the better gameplay loop

ordered a PS5. hopefully the access controller will work with my disability. if not, well my son is coming to gaming age so i'm sure he will like it eventually

#Review Haste is 8/10 - the core gameplay loop is so good. The speed mmmm and its quite intuitive. The turn off for me is the genre, being a roguelite. Its still a good game that i recommend to indie game lovers but the genre seems to actually hurt the experience. Curious how/why in development..

#Review Assassins Creed: Shadows is 8/10 - the gameplay loop as actually pretty fun, Yasuke playstyle adds some variety when it gets stale. The dense forests and seasons are incredible. it doesnt add depth but just a hint of realism. i hope they can iterate on this in the future

any of my fellow disable gamers using the Access controller on PS5? I'm really considering trying it but needa push..

#Review Monster Hunter Wilds is 8.5/10 - BUT the performance is just unacceptable on PC. i really hope Capcom can stop doing this because its just a shit practice. if the game was even close to good performance at release, it may be a 10. Man that sounds so fun. 8.5 is being generous btw

the Death Stranding 2 trailer is the firs time i'm sad that i'm unable to play a console. Unfortunately my disability prevents that. really grew to love the first one on PC. Great edit Kojima

why do the average gamers give games like Monster Hunter Wilds a pass with the cringe dialogue. i really feel like i'm missing something

#Review Lost Records: Bloom & Rage Tape 1 is 8.5/10 - Its hard to judge half of a game even if episodic but Don't Nod just excel in this genre. A criticism about how slow it is but i loved that. It was devoted to the character development and setting the stage the world. Cant wait for tape 2

#Review Avowed is 8/10 - despite its flaws theres the Obsidian charm to this game and great combat. The criticisms of this game range from the braindead (woke bad) to the bizarre (its not a sandbox rpg? its bad) and the hyper niche (needs more moving npc's in cities).

#Review Spiderman 2 is 9/10 - I really liked this game more than I thought I would. The PC port performance made me pretty sad but my system could power through it mostly. It’s such a refined open world experience and further solidifies 2023 as the goat year. Keep them coming Sony

Avowed is a beautiful game. The art direction is so impressive. i'm not into two rpgs this month and cant wait to play Lost Records. how will i survive

give me Avowed..i need it

#GameReviews starting back up for the year. First game is Ender Magnolia: Bloom in the Mist 8.5/10 - i like this more than the first. The game's foundations are so solid that its a pleasure to experience. My only gripes really are a matter of preference rather than design criticism. Easy recommend

Spiderman 2 is actually pretty damn good. Finally playing on PC which besides the performance issues its a very good game. Just a shame it was release in this state

im really digging the Sword of the Necromancer Remake. I barely recall the original but just as a game, its fun and kinda cute actually? it really achieves what its trying to do

Spiritborn again in Season 7. It is my favorite class in Diablo 4 and the only thing i dont want to do again in quill volley. So far so good

Excited for Ender Magnolia. Completed the EA some time ago and it was clearly a step up from Lillies. Cant wait to play

Hyper Light Breaker has the bones of a great game. There are some things that really need changing, even for EA, but there is something special here

well Marvel Rivals got me playing a PvP game more than a hour for the first time since 2019 i believe. and still somewhat relaxing

Marvel Rivals is pretty fun (quite casually, will never go back to the dark days of CSGO or Overwatch completive). The monetization certainly could be worse..curious what people will think after the honeymoon period.

@sunsetvisitor.studio is secretary saying "listen!" in chapter 6 an OoT reference or am i being insufferable?

so exciting for the new games coming out this month and next. Hyper Light Breaker and Avowed especially. hopefully i can squeeze in Mouthwashing and/or Pacific Drive before that..

I buy too many games..my Steam replay is a bit embarrassing

what to do when you fall asleep playing a game you really want to play

Top games of 2024. New PC ports are eligible 1. 1000xResist 2. Horizon Forbidden West 3. Indika 4. Balatro 5. Neva 6. Animal Well 7. Banishers Ghosts of New Eden 8. Nine Sols 9. Ultros 10. Dragon Age Veilguard 11. Black Myth Wukong 12. Space Marine 2 SotE would be top 5 if included #GOTY

#GOTY im going to post my full list soon but my game of the year is #1000xResist. Fucking masterpiece

#IndianaJonesandtheGreatCircle im still undecided on Troy Baker's voice being that close to Harrison Ford's voice. The acting seems great so far but just unsure if i like it.
