Oh yes, the movie featured many things I showed my now-husband when he first visited LA. We still talk about it a lot. Last year we went to the movie studio together and he said, "Oh, remember that scene from La La Land? We're standing there now!"

I watched La La Land on New Year's Eve, followed by good Thai food. It's a charming movie, especially for those of us who have actually gotten out of our car on the 405, 101, or 110 due to traffic. People used to sell fruits and flowers, you know? I think we sang along once. Never got to dance. :(

We didn't have journalism in high school but every week for our language classes we had to write news analysis, comparing how something was featured across different media outlets, and what's fact and what's opinion. Many thought it's an annoying assignment. I think it's invaluable.

It's like how we can't just know about CBT or DBT. And definitely we don't want to be "All therapies are bad." LOL
p.s. My parents went to seminary school and they definitely made everyone study world religions and do interfaith stuff.

Car probably overestimated how warm it was after baking in the sun for a day.
Chicago, I heard, did get some rain today. The heat might get to them a bit later this weekend.

What the heck is IOP group for grief?! And the suggestion of support group or "adjunctive grief specialist"? Inpatient for grief?!!!
Why is everyone jumping to the conclusion that the person can't "maintain safety" and need a HLOC just because they say they want 2x/wk?
Reddit is so weird.

Almost babies no more. Did you know they only stay in the nest for the first 23 days or so?

You didn't strike me as an Ally, much less an Ali.
I guess the only Alejandra I knew, who's my parents' Spanish teacher, went by Alex (she's previously married to a British bloke). I thought she's really cool but she went MIA after the divorce.
