you might have forgotten the 3rd, albeit kinda rare in my circle, kind: people who daily drive Ubuntu or Linux Mint because "it's better than Windows, I think. also what do you mean I'm using Flatpak or not, I just use the app store to download apps."

if you think about it hard enough, Windows is secretly like a game of archeology: find the oldest image resource or piece of UI that still exists in modern versions of the OS

the barcode, which can represent any kind of ID a person can have like citizen card or bank account or membership/loyalty card or whatever, can be summoned by just thinking about it by default the patch displays a checkerboard pattern to prevent accidental scanning (2 of 2 skeets)

why do I want to do this? why not :D also itsa very dumb way to block com.google.android.safetycore from being auto installed by GmsCore, because I don't feel quite safe when a random new package is installed without Google telling me about it until I "pm list packages -3". but what do I know.

that assumes you already got build-tools from Android SDK already set up and available in your PATH. also you need to bring your own key (p8) and cert (x509.pem), though you can create one in KeyStore Explorer (a great Java-based GUI for working with keystores) if you're not familiar with openssl.

I think Stylus is better fit for these kind of cosmetic hiding stuff. The whole userstyle snippet is very simple: @-moz-document domain("bsky.app") { [data-testid="repostCount"] { display: none } }

I feel like I've just burned $35. Sounds like not a lot of money, but at least I could've bought a Pi 4 and (with a bit more extra spending) some antennas and stuff to make my own Frankenstein Wi-Fi repeater that can actually runs OpenWrt or even a proper Linux distro.
