I think Labour act the way they do because they believe left-wing voters are poweless, particularly in England. Labour can't conceive that left leaning voters can or will do anything to oust Starmer. Until they display that intent, Starmer will always maintain the status quo, that's why he's there.

I do the same with house and trance music. Imagine myself with glow sticks and whistles living it large in the lounge area of the care home.

It's not only that the BBC is declining, it's that there is no other national broadcaster else which has similar reach and is impartial. I wish @channel4news.bsky.social did.

Trump doesn't want a deal with the UK. He wants us to keep begging for as long as possible. He enjoys the power trip too much to agree a deal.

Of course it is. To give you just one example, the government partnership with the Black Rock corporation and SEZs/ Freeports. Let's not forget large donations by private health companies to individual Labour MPs.

Frankly, the last thing we need is to unseat the SNP. Labour are a right wing party and the SNP apart from the Greens, are the only overt pro-EU party. Even the Liberals have toned down their pro EU position. If you care about left wing or socialist politics, Labour is not for you.

If we can't align to the EU, then in Starmer and the right wings view, the US is the only viable option. It has to be achieved to be seen as a Brexit "win". I wholeheartedly agree, Trumps interests in no way align with ours.

Starmer never fails to disappoint.

I don't think they are pandering to thar group for it's own sake, it's a happy coincidence. He is pandering to the corporations and doesn't want to be seen to have a whiff of liberalism as that would jeopardise the neoliberal corporate takeover via SEZ which cant happen if we align more with EU.

I just watched this by the Singapore PM. Clear , concise, and although not explicitly stated articulates why the UK needs to align with EU. The rules based order has gone.

FFS. The US is not a trusted ally, this is depressing.

I think they've had them for a while. They can link the ships up to form a sort of bridge for artillery and tanks etc to land.

Yes. Huge things on stilts. I can't remember what they are called.
