My back yard groundhog was so skinny last Spring, his skin hanging in folds on his sides. I decided to be nice and throw him an apple. It terrified him, he DOVE out of the yard. I don't see him as much anymore. And about 10 minutes later I saw a fat squirrel making off with his apple.

About 7 years ago, my young adult daughter was driving from St. Louis to Denver and got pulled over and had her car searched. That highway patrol guy must have gotten his wires crossed. This was before any kind of legal weed in Missouri.

What are the chances that Musk's Doge minions already found and destroyed all official records of his immigration and naturalizatiion?

I think that on Twitter, you KNEW people had already seen the news, so you didn't feel the need to repeat it. You just commented on it. Here, nobody is sure what anyone else has already seen.

There seems to be a protocol here that first you boost the post that caught your attention. Then you comment on the post, so the original post and your comment both show up. Needless duplication and I'm so sick of it!

I think the Democrats in charge of the party are insane. If they can't be thrown out, honestly a new party has to start taking over for the left. I guess now that we're at the nadir of power, this would be a good time to try to do it.

I can't even hang t.p. in my bathroom like a normal person, I have to hide it in the vanity cabinet. And some nights, the little monsters even claw the vanity open to get at the t.p. to shred it during the night!

I wondered. My husband had atopic dermatitis (basically ezcema) and he slathered lanolin on himself daily for many years. He probably would have given you a reaction by just being in your vicinity.

She and corpse-man already have three little ones. I'm wondering if she took them with her to Elon or if they're staying with Miller.

I'm starting to think that if they try to squeeze any money out of the budget for courts to enforce contempt charges, maybe 50,000 of us or so could volunteer to show up at the defendant's house and escort him/her to jail. I'd be glad to!

Also, you don't set up a 5 year old's birthday party for "next Saturday" - there needs to be a ton of lead time, for parents' scheduling and gift buying to occur. Most kids' birthday parties I know about are scheduled at LEAST 3 weeks ahead of time.

I just saw a video that showed her hitting and shoving. They said it was body cam. Makes me wonder if it was AI faked. The sounds were distorted.

The more I hear about WI lately, the more fashy it seems - the HS class picture with Hitler salutes in Baraboo, the grandpa not allowing the Black school admin to shake his granddaughter's hand during graduation, now this - WI doesn't sound like my kind of place!

My husband was a Trotskyist and still a tankie. He died in 2003. No idea if he would have grown, emotionally, to see the evil Russia is doing now. He was completely progressive, supporting gays and sex workers, antiracist, a feminist. It was a sentimental attachment to revolutionary Russia.

I think you're right - after I posted that last night I read the wiki about doorknobs (which didn't mention Dorsey) and realized that the patents for those knobs/locks at my old house were probably just as much for the doorknobs as for the locks.

I misunderstood what you're saying here - I thought you were saying that her family "was" enslaved. Then the comments started making me wonder and I went back and reread and realized I was wrong. I should have realized just from her toney name.

Does anybody else see Trump's post as a thinly-veiled threat that Bruce will be detained as he tries to re-enter the U.S.?
comment in response to

I don't think that's true - I used to own a house built in 1868 and on the bedroom doors were these very complicated lock boxes, with door knobs. They had (under all the layers of paint) an embossed thing saying that their patents were pending. Presumably for the lock, not the door knob.

My kids used to get fluoride painted on their teeth at the dentist after cleaning (for an extra fee). I wonder if that treatment is now going to be illegal or not, since it wasn't ingested.

I've been trying to do this for a couple of years, since I heard about Home Depot's founder being such a Trumper (he's retired now, but still). With this DEI thing, I'll be much more strict - no running to the closer Home Depot for the small items. It's Lowe's all the way now!

They just announced today that starting next month, the Education Department will be garnishing wages, as well as confiscating tax refunds and Social Security payments, if any. They must have left that part of the department around.
