Both Dexter and Alex are stunned, scared that they might drop dead, before realizing that they’re okay. They even seem happy??
Looks like Dexter’s bastion has new pets and Alex has new discoveries for the archives.

He had seen many Ghasts feed their young with fire based things, so he thought it would be best. Until Alex finds him after getting back from the cold overworld, and sees them. The Ghastlings see the snowballs she’s has and eats them.

Dexter finds not one but two Ghastlings and is shocked to see the state they were in. Worried about them, he takes the small creatures with him and tries to think of a way to help them.
Once back at the bastion Dexter comes up with the idea of feeding the little guys fire charges.

For the records on the ancient cities use glow squid ink. The Pale Garden records can also be written in glow squid ink but resin is more commonly used.

I can just see Soap standing on the other side facing Ghost with his hands on Ghost face. Either you can’t see both faces (like it’s just a moment between them) or you CAN see Soaps he’s just smiling like an idiot in love.

They have these colored lenses to help offset extra eye strain from the variety of colored light sources everywhere in the Bastion.

Basically if a Piglin wears it as an earring they could unclip it from their ear, use it to spark a fire in a forge or something similar, and just clip it back on when done.
