Today I would like to shout out the unsung heroes of gamedev, the fabled European Youtube Tutorial Guys. I wouldn't know how to do anything technical without their streamlined 10 minute videos on every niche topic imaginable. Thanks, European Youtube Tutorial Guys.

Games are a medium where a crazed lunatic rushing you down with a sickle can be considered a subtle way to get the player's attention. You really gotta bludgeon them over the head to get them to maybe notice stuff sometimes 😆

Neat level design detail I noticed replaying Bloodborne: The first major shortcut back to the Central Yharnam lamp is hidden through a house off the main bridge, which can be hard to spot. Except that Fromsoft INTENTIONALLY draws your attention that way by placing an ambush right by the entrance.

I'm a bit late to the party, but I really enjoyed my time with Arco. The tactical/realtime hybrid combat system takes a bit of getting used to, but once it clicks, it's incredibly engaging and expressive. Definitely a strong recommend to people for looking for a more unique experience.

I always cite Nintendo when I talk about healthy game company structure Satoru Iwata was the CEO for 13 years. He wasn't some arbitrary guy that went to business school— he was a programmer, having worked on kirby, earthbound, smash brothers He cared about games in his heart, having worked on many

Don't know how I've gone this long without posting my cat, but here's the cute lil fella. He dresses better than I do tbh
