It's not a win that he's going to the Mets and not the Yankees. It's still a loss. While the Yankees lost a huge part of their lineup, the Red Sox did not improve theirs and seem out on remaining free agents that are available. And if they want to play for a winner ..why would they sign in Boston?

Another huge whiff by the Red Sox front office. Just showing they DO NOT have what it takes to sign the games best players anymore. They chose Sale over Mookie (a year early for some reason), Story over X, and their precious farm system of unproven prospects over Juan Soto. 81-81 season upcoming.
