The player stats are still incredibly high for the game, the fandom isn't going anywhere anytime soon. As folks taper off into new things, more new folks are getting the game and joining! You aren't too late at all.

Some people just absolutely need drama to live, apparently. I'll never understand it. That said if you need low-sodium Astarion chat, I enjoy talking about him! πŸ’œ

Dammit, I'm so sorry this happened again. People can be so obtuse & selfish. You don't deserve that. You've done what you can to make your age clear. It's not your fault they're not checking before deciding who to befriend. I hope you don't leave the fandom, but it's understandable if you need to πŸ«‚

I know it's different for artists, since making income from it or making it a career is always a hope, and I'm sure that makes it all the harder. But social media is really skewed & doesn't always reward talent like yours appropriately. πŸ«‚

I agree. I struggle with it myself with writing. It's hard, but I focus on the people who are interested & interacting, & on appreciating them. If I see 20 likes on my post, I imagine how nice it would be for 20 irl ppl to come say they loved what I made. That feels really good & works well for me

I'm so sorry you're dealing with so much. Try not to focus too much on engagements, many people can't interact or are too shy, or don't have accounts yet! You matter, no matter what your brain tells you.

My husband calls it "twitter trauma" and it's legit. All the decent folks I know who used twitter before bsky are fairly anxious about posting here now. It'll get better over time. It's a lot nicer here, and with actual moderation. πŸ’œπŸ’œ
