Pekapeka seem to roost in native trees like puriri, kauri, and totara, but thereβs not many big trees like that around, so use pine, gum and macrocarpa as roosts too. Planting riparian edges also helps restore aquatic flying insects that bats eats π¦

In my opinion qualifications mean less than experience on the ground doing the conservation work learning from nature and the way you can work with it. Volunteering is the key to paid conservation work. Starting local on something that you are passionate about also really helps.
