I’m so happy for her that she gets to show everyone what she can do!

You’re absolutely correct in general. However, I’m a little skeptical in her case. Wasn’t she in her final year of said ENT residency? Shouldn’t she have known about the stress by then? I can’t help but think something performance-based happened if she got that far.

Are these not the highlights of every Met Gala if we’re being honest with ourselves?

You know what I’ve learned teaching in a medical school? The greatest health concern for a pregnant woman in America is MURDER. It is dangerous for a woman here to get pregnant because she might get killed by the child’s father. That’s the crisis of masculinity.

It’s a big reason why I’ve decided to stay in [redacted], such a difference when you have the option to not depend on your car around your city

We are living in one of the few times in human history where you can buy a loaf of bread and if it says it’s made with wheat flour and salt and yeast and water and nothing else, it’s probably made from just those ingredients, and some people want to END this.

The Tamil Prince and The Fox and Pheasant were highlights for me when I visited a friend two years ago. Had lovely dinners at Honey & Co. and Rabbit as well. Also, the Borough Market is absolutely fantastic for lunch.

If you have a car, drive down to Manitou Springs for a morning, hike Garden of the Gods and soak at the Sunwater Spa. Denver specific things I like include the Zoo and any of the museums. Restaurants: Linger and El Five are fantastic. Ice cream at Little Man (get the salted Oreo).

I just assumed it occurred regularly on purpose, like the sabbath for gay people

I really wish ABOG would listen to its physician body when we all rose up and begged them to move the certifying exam back to virtual, largely because we fear travel to TX. Instead, they just dug their heels and put everyone at risk.

Yeah, the cognitive load of GDM is something that is under discussed but definitely annoying. Even when patients manage their GDM really well it’s so stressful šŸ˜•

I always counsel patients that fruit plus a protein (e.g. cheese or a nut butter) is a great snack, especially if you wake up with elevated fasting glucoses. If you’re struggling without fruit talk to your RDN or OB about incorporating it with a protein to help balance out the glycemic index.
