Slightly disappointed that the new Space Precinct Blu-Ray is AI-upscaled, might be Topaz Video AI. I recognise the AI upscaling patterns and the strange sharp straight lines from the blinds and mess-up of badges in this example. It's not a bad upscale, just wish it was a completely new film scan. 😞

The mantra "Survive until '25" had been spoken about in the VFX industry, which has been on its knees as of late. But I think most creative industries won't start to improve until at least '26. I do hope I'm wrong. For the game industry, next-gen games consoles can't come soon enough.

I buy a fair amount of tech stuff from Aliexpress, and I'm constantly impressed at how fast things show up and how well packaged they are. Often, it's faster and cheaper to order from there than things I order from within the UK. Crazy.

I've been so impressed by the new M4 Macs that I'm honestly thinking of switching my parents from Windows a new MacBook Air once the M4s come out, especially now all models now have a minimum of 16GB RAM. Means I won't need to do my yearly malware and cleanup of temp files. 😆
