not sure how much longer i can take being chronically understaffed to the point that we are. everyone who complained to our boss got their hours cut. we can't even take breaks on these shifts

i've had nerve damage before btw so this isn't some weird "i wish i had this thing" kind of post. i know first hand how much it sucks but if i'm gonna ruin my sleep and my plans for tomorrow which i paid for i would have liked for it to have been over a legitimate issue

like at least some kind of nerve damage would have made it worth it

i know its bc they can't do a proper assessment over the phone and more importantly knowledge about eds is lacking in most medical settings but it's so frustrating to mess up my sleep schedule over my shoulder being more dramatic than usual

literally every single time a healthline nurse has told me to go to the emergency department "immediately" or "within the next x hours" it's been normal shit that i could have managed at home but didn't know bc it was my first time with those symptoms

the doctor was able to give me some warning signs to look out for the next time this happens so hopefully the emergency department will be avoided altogether for the foreseeable future

so i go because obviously the nurse is more qualified than me
after some testing it turns out i was right all along and my shoulder just hates the way i slept last night and it will fix itself at some point and i did not need urgent medical attention after all :) (3/3)

so the nurse on the phone goes "you need a doctor in the next 6 hours" and i go "last time someone said that i waited 8 hours for an xray and got sent home when they confirmed my joints were in place, i think i just slept weird" and she goes "no seriously please go to the emergency department" (2/3)

once you get somewhat comfy on tracer she's actually really fun! she feels pretty underrated atm but a decent tracer is almost as annoying as most sombras
