“Of course I know how to use guns…just not THIS gun. Yes, I just shot myself in the foot…but that was an accident, so please stop pointing and take me seriously!”

I say this as a genuine concern, not as a slight, but I think it’s cause Trump is losing his mind, maybe to dementia, and Musk can’t trust him not to say something that will give the game away. He lets him do rallies cause no one talks back, but in a situation where there may be conversation…

I fully agree. And if we get the trifecta back here after the midterms (whether I run again or not) I’m going to push for such a prohibition. With MAGA republicans controlling our House, won’t happen.

Not to kink shame or anything, but his wife has got to have a thing for Nosferatu, right? It’s the only thing that I can conceive of that could make someone get even remotely close to Steven Miller

But as is always the problem with our political system, the out of control spending on political candidates kinda blocks normal dudes like me from running for things much higher than state office, regardless of our ideas.

No worries on that count. When I ran for state office in 2024 I felt like I may have been too progressive for the Democrats, but ran as one cause, you know, two party system and all. Besides, I care more about people than I care about money, so a rightward shift isn’t in the cards.

Medicaid currently covers roughly 63% of all nursing home residents. The strain on the states will force them to cut benefits, and potentially push our parents and grandparents out of their place of care

Trump has said that we will own the Gaza Strip, and the way he talks about it makes me wonder…does he think the Gaza Strip is like the Vegas Strip? Like it’s just a road that can be leveled and redeveloped? Is it possible his incuriosity and stupidity goes that deep?

Don’t forget when they trap their drivers inside, accelerate out of control and occasionally simply stop working for legit no apparent reason. And with no crumple zones, they’re pretty much a high speed ground missle

Before anyone comes at me. Yea I just noticed that I completely missed the $400 million mention in the headline and feel a fool for it

Sure…let’s weight down a vehicle that struggles with slightly bumpy terrain…sounds legit. Is this what the extra 150 billion Republicans want to add to the military budget going to?

Jason Woolford (HD50) and Ann Bollin (HD49) have spoken pretty openly about eliminating the Michigan Board of Education, because (checks notes) replacing an elected position with an appointed one is a way to end partisanship. 🤷‍♂️ Bollin’s feelings about education are part of why I ran against her

Or at least some variation on it

One I found myself saying pretty often was “From each according to his ability, to each according to need”
