I think an American flag created entirely by black men at the Superbowl is one of the best pieces of art I've seen in my lifetime. I hope it actually killed some folks. And I hope it finally closes the fucking book on the argument that we shouldn't use the flag to fight the God damned fascists.

they can take over the entire country but they can never actually be cool and it will eat at them forever

It’s hard to think of a better way to commemorate Dr. King’s birthday than by repudiating the first sentence of the 14th Amendment, which was adopted to overrule Dred Scott—except ANY OTHER WAY.

If TikTok stays dark, the public will have restricted content relating to the mass deportations that are set to happen.

Y’all be acting smug when yall are just as online as everyone else lmao. The irony of some of you to act snarky about being on social media while posting on social media

I am currently coping by downloading a chess app. And every time I go to check TikTok out of habit, I play a game of chess. That is my life now ig.

Is this the last normal weekend in the country?

before tiktok, before bluesky, before twitter, before meta, before it all, there were sewers. after all, there will be sewers.

That was fast.

-50 windchills by Monday. Hell freezes over as democracy ends.

Just a reminder of some of the context around the TikTok ban: In 2020, Trump tried to ban it via executive order a couple months after K-pop fans used it to organize fake signups to Trump’s Tulsa rally, which led him to publicly overestimate how large the crowd size would be.

IT HAPPENED #tiktokban

Past resistance to the Nazi’s does not automatically make a region immune to extremist ideology.

The fact that Trump and Republicans jumped on the name and face of the New Orleans attacker and declared he was an "illegal immigrant" despite his being born and raised in America is a pretty good sign of how the mass deportations are going to go.

Between X and BlueSky the response to the cyber truck fire and the tragedy in NOLA are insanely different.

#LATEST We have identified six of the 15 people who died in the New Year’s Day terror attack on Bourbon Street: Nikyra Dedeaux, 18 Hubert Gauthreaux, 21 Tiger Bech, 28 Nicole Perez, 28 Reggie Hunter, 37 Kareem Badawi @fox8live.com

Seems like the FBI finding 150 homemade bombs at the home of a guy who uses Biden’s picture for target practice should be a bigger story. Apparently he may get released on a $25,000 bond. More: abcnews.go.com/US/wireStory...

I’m ready for the fight. I’m not leaving your side. We won’t just get through it. We’re going to thrive. Bring on 2025. 🔥

20 days folks! That’s all we got left!

I will never stop being aghast that the United States built a higher education system that was literally the envy of the entire world—our bitterest political enemies nonetheless sent their children to us to be educated, it was so good—& then just decided to systematically, ruthlessly dismantle it

people keep arguing about whether the dems should move right or left but I feel like a larger takeaway from the past several cycles isn't policy, it's that people's politics are deeply inconsistent and we're all highly susceptible to marketing, advertising and propaganda

I will never blame Kamala Harris ever. She dared greatly.
