I’m a train wreck, but like 25 people think I’m funny, and isn’t that all that matters? Immune compromised wife, mother, and coffee addict. Swears a lot. Socially awkward. PNW for life.

they're getting local press, their communities are banding together because of it, and they're impacting their republican congress people. people protesting Democrats show up on Fox and help republicans build propaganda showing that Democrats are to blame, when it is all republicans' fault.

Anyway, if you’re a local and want to read the report yourself HMU. It was released as part of a public records request, and there’s potentially more to come.

He also called anyone whose political views didn’t align with his “commies” and LGBTQ kids “gays and weirdos” so yeah, you could say I’m glad he was terminated with cause.

Don’t forget: he was forced to resign from Beaverton School District because he retweeted racist sentiments about undocumented people being more dangerous than assault rifles, but it’s “silly” people think he’s racist. 🙄

Love having her as my county commissioner. Nothing better than an unhinged racist making decisions about how my county is run.

What do we do? We show up for protests but then take no further action, start harassment campaigns against friendlies, post a whole lot online, shame anyone who has a different opinion from us, and then when someone asks for volunteers we make excuses and beg off. I see it all the fucking time.

Conservatives are EXCELLENT at rallying troops, infiltrating PTAs and library boards and city councils and park and rec boards and school boards and county commissions. They write letters to editors, call their senators and reps, and they run an awful lot of events.

This is some real Dear Leader bullshit.

So? Do it anyway. You lose nothing by making a phone call. The GOP can stop this at any time; this is their mess and they need to hear our feedback, even if it doesn’t change their minds. We have voices and need to be using them.

In the future: listen to Black women regarding politics. They’re the only demographic consistently working toward progress for literally everyone.

White people, this is on us. If you’re sad and scared and angry and enraged and panicked about everything is happening, hold yourself accountable for the outcome of the election. Did you text bank? Door knock? Have robust conversations with people in your life you could’ve had some influence on?

Black women knew better. Black women knew the stakes for all of us, Palestine included. They begged people to listen. Instead, we betrayed them, their wealth of historical knowledge, their personal experience being oppressed and let down by their govt and society, and their pragmatism and strategy.

Re: voter suppression…loud online (and overwhelmingly white) leftists told everyone voting Dem was complicity in genocide. Given Trump’s promises of ethnic cleansing, why don’t they believe that NOT voting for Harris ultimately wound up also being complicity in genocide?

white people, you see them in a coffee shop? Tell them off. Embarrass them loudly, shame them. Refuse playdates with their kids. Snub them. Snub their family. Hit em where it hurts. Shame is an effective weapon & they wouldn't hesitate to do it to YOU.

Aw, that sucks. I’m really sorry! This is the resource I usually send people to, because it’s great info and provides other resources: 51916ibc.tumblr.com/post/1765221...

Yep, G sized tits here, and I am FAR more comfortable with a bra on. When it’s properly fitted (as in, not fitted to US sizing and the BS “just add 4 inches that don’t actually belong here”) it’s actually MORE comfortable. I went UK sizing 12 years ago and never looked back.
