As a dad who’s been down this road (I’m clinically atrocious with dates, recall things from 2008 that actually happened in 2018, thought I was 37 for an entire year when I was 38, &c.), you gotta do some quick math, brother. Once the kid’s two, you’re in the clear.

I had to just block him because it stressed me out, but worth a little perusal. One of the weirder accounts I’ve come across. When he’s not yelling at Ed Zitron or anyone who mentions Brace, he’s defending Tim Brady re: Deflategate?

You cover/encounter so many of these guys: Where does Adams rank on the weirdness scale? He’s the weirdest I’ve seen, but I’m just a civilian.

I feel like I first read something by this guy when I was young, naive, and primed to be impressed by his brand of smarmy bullshit, and even then, I was like, “Wow what an asshole.”

Brace Belden said he’s soft in all the places that should be hard and hard in all the places that should be soft, like some kind of reverse skeleton.

The door guy at my old office was a collegiate umpire. I’m a big baseball fan. Tried for YEARS to get the guy to talk about baseball. All he ever talked about was umpiring. Didn’t even remotely give a shit about the sport.

That guy’s a Dick Tracy villain called “Bobby.” What we need is a frank and open discussion re: post-production in NSVs. I for one see no value in the “Sword” edit.

Just had to drive a Compass from NYC to Boston a couple weeks ago. Perfectly acceptable.

What’s the point of any of these people if the onus is on their constituents to dictate strategy in detail?

Every time I read something wild they’re pulling and I think, “What’s the angle here…” I take a step back and remember these are some of the dumbest people on the planet.

Stories about the battles of Churubusco and Chapultepec are nuts. It’s probably apocryphal, but the kid jumping off the castle wrapped in the Mexican flag, cheered by the condemned Irishmen, is so bad ass.

At that tier, it gets super subjective. I think I’d take JBJ over anyone, but is that just because I saw him play a lot? Probably.

4 pm, still nothing in Brooklyn. Furious.

I was a freshman in college in ‘04, the last year I played baseball. Boston was rabid pretty much from the time they got Pedro, and ‘03 and ‘04 were somehow another level. Never seen anything like it. People remember Grady leaving Pedro in like they remember 9/11 or the Kennedy assassination.

I heard it as “Tito” from the other room and was momentarily for it.
