Kinda wild... The song 'Singin' in the Rain' made it's debut, 20+ years before the movie with the same title, in the 1929 'The Hollywood Revue' which is also in the public domain this year.

I love creating playlists on Spotify (a lil' too much?). Just re-created one today for The Beatles 'Reel Music' compilation Capitol Records released in '82. Also made an 'expanded version'
My favorite is a series I created that's inspired by Andy Cowan's book 'B-Side: A Flipsided History of Pop'.

This one was kinda special to me. My dad took me to see them (w/The Romantics) at Louisville Gardens in January of 1984. Wow! $11.50 per ticket. Super cheap! π§
