Marching once again, after a 50 year pause (because retirement allows me to). Non-affiliated adherent to traditional Christian principles. Always a recycler, newly fanatical environmentalist. Still waiting for the next true leader.

"We can no longer believe any numbers the Trump Administration gives us." When COULD we?

"Flirting"? How 'bout "outright embracing"?

I'm not sure I agree with you. Every time I have trouble paying my bills, my go-to response is asking my boss for a pay cut. It hasn't worked in over forty years, but, hell -- sooner or later it's bound to, right? Trickle-down can't ALWAYS fail, can it?

My Governor. MINE. I'd steal ten votes for him in every election if I could, that's how much I'll hate to see him go. But I'll happily give him to the nation (and, in fact, the world) so he can serve the greater good. One damn fine human being, despite the wealth.

Every one of 'em hits the nail on the head.

Oh, sure. Blame Canada, Mr. South Park. Thank you for the advisory.

That is truly wonderful. Not wishing bad things for you, but if these are the result perhaps a minor depressed mood now and then is a good thing. (Said by someone who has MAJOR depression issues.) Really -- absolutely lovely.

I learned a long time ago that nobody pays attention to good advice they get for free. So I started charging. Haven't made a dime, yet life is somehow more enjoyable.

When, exactly, did he spout this nonsense?

That's okay. All the more for the US government to confiscate when the Trump debt comes due.

They shouldn't be banned for doing it. They should be executed for doing it. That is a consequence they WILL understand.

A friggin' brilliant concept. Taylor, Bruce -- make this happen. All the better if Swift's portion is hosted in the US and Springsteen's comes from Europe.

I'd love to read this translated into English.

Well, hell. Now I have to watch this wonderful film again. And this time, on a small screen! (Thank you for the reminder, btw, of how great a movie it is.)

Not "once again", of course, but for the first time in over a century of the credit rating service.

More people needed to understand this forty years ago.

What's truly amazing is that DHS keeps letting him back in.

Why would today be any different?

Mad props to Ted Lieu.

"... assure that a real DOJ prosecutes Elon Musk for his many crimes in 2029." Maybe we should aim a little higher, and at least pretend there's a chance it'll happen sooner?

It wouldn't surprise me to learn that they don't wipe their own asses.

Your question suggests the possibility that Trump has an iota of integrity to begin with. "... deciding to suck up to a guy who ordered the murder and dismemberment of a journalist he didn't like ..." wasn't based on money. It was pure admiration for the draconian retribution MBS obtained.

This is no surprise. As a general rule, middle-aged moms do what needs to be done. The drunken pretty boy talking head will never be able to embody that, nor even gasp the significance of it.

Figured I'd share my appreciation for a brilliant idea. Thank you! From 1953: I advise all of you to live TODAY as the proud human you'd like to be when you're MY age. (Trust me -- doing that beats that hell out of NOT doing that. And I can only say THAT because I didn't get EVERYTHING wrong.))

Because he knows very, VERY well that the only sure way to beat a trial is to be innocent (or, of course, obscenely wealthy).

I'm only shocked by what they're getting away with. They're doing what I've known they've promised since 2023. While I still have hope for the nation -- the damage will not be undone in my lifetime.

That's looking beautiful, without question. I am truly (and duly) impressed.

The headline is deeply misleading. You can’t suspend habeas corpus just “for migrants.” As we’ve seen, ICE will pick *anyone* up. If you have legal status but no right to habeas corpus, you’ll have no ability to challenge your detention or deportation. Suspension for some is suspension for all.

I look at Miller's picture and can think of NO reason his head shouldn't be bisected.
