Great to see EurEau meeting with the Commissioner to discus water resilience

New EU report shows: the EU is off track to meeting 2030 anti-pollution targets. But zero pollution is not a luxury but a human right. In addition, it contributes to making your water services circular, sustainable and affordable. www.eureau.org/news/970-eu-...

The second #ZeroPollution Monitoring and Outlook report is out. 🔎 It provides an overview of the EU’s work to meet the 2030 #zeropollution targets. Find here the link to the report & the targets: www.eea.europa.eu/en/newsroom/...

France is the second country after Denmark to ban PFAS in certain consumer uses. This is great news but all uses must be banned. The polluters will only cover a tiny part of the costs. For drinking water alone, they will amount to up to €18 billion/year in Europe. www.eureau.org/news/964-fra...

Read our paper, “PFAS Phase Out: A Prerequisite for a Water Resilient Europe,” highlighting the threat that PFAS pose to human health, the environment, and the future of Europe’s water services. The EU needs to act now to secure a water-resilient Europe. 📄 More here: lnkd.in/e-8huQQT

PFAS contamination is driving up water treatment costs—€18B/year for drinking water alone. Without a full ban & the polluter-pays principle, consumers will bear the burden. Prevention is key to safeguarding Europe’s water. Read more: www.eureau.org/resources/pu... @jessikaroswall.bsky.social
