If you want more diversity in ALL aspects of art, especially comics, you need to be advocating for housing affordability, food security, and low or no-cost child care. I hope you all are doing that in any capacity you can; you need to help lower that ladder to stability down for another person.

If you appreciate artists and want us to keep making stuff, giving us money is like a very cool and good thing to do.

This week's listening is done already! The Rishloo album was a cheat album as I've listened to it many, many times, but constantly searching for new stuff is becoming a bit of a chore tbh.

It's bandcamp Friday once again. Big day for independent musicians as we get all of the revenue, so if you're a fan of music that's dark, experimental, moody, or just looking to support a trans artist, this release might be for you.

Listening list for 3.25 - 3.31. Eclectic as usual.

Last week's listening list. Work is slowing down so hopefully I will be able to get back on schedule.

The Void calls in sweet tones and false promises- Signed prints now live wolfskulljack.com/collections/...

Might not buy me happiness, but it could buy me a vaginoplasty, and, well that's basically the same thing.

Time to make some detailed charts and graphs to help narrow my list down.

One impact of COVID that we don’t talk about enough is how people are avoiding medical care because of lack of precautions like masking in healthcare settings. This doesn’t show up as COVID deaths or hospitalizations but delays in care increases the mortality rate of other diseases like cancer.

The last of original art I have for sale are now available in my shop ko-fi.com/mxmorgan/sho...

First apparel item is in! What do you think?

Listening list for 3.11 - 3.17. I dont know if it's the Night Verses album or what, but I have the hankering to do metal again. Unlikely to ever happen, but it's a thought that always seems to be lingering around.

My residuals for January just posted and I noticed someone used a those.you.forgot.to.burn tune for a tiktok video. I dont have tiktok, and have no idea how to find the video, but I hope it was used in some messed up analog horror arg thing.

i wish people understood (and cared) how deeply isolating it is to be a medically vulnerable person in a forever-pandemic everyone else has gotten bored with. it’s like involuntarily playing frogger, except you can’t see the cars, and they’re basically all actively trying to hit you.

Listening list for 3.4 - 3.10. With 5 gigs a week, 2 albums to write/finish, and having a body to take care of I'm remembering why I stopped listening to music. Anyway, of particular note was the Jasmine Wood release.

Apparently today is the official 4 year anniversary of Covid, so as you are recalling the pain and trauma of “official” lockdowns today, please remember that disabled ppl are still in isolation, with no end date. You may feel it’s over, but your burden actually just shifted to us, on top of our own.

Listening list for 2.26 - 3.3. Some familiar artists here, and some I had to really dig for.

Some beans to start the weekend.

Gotta play catch up for last (and this) week's listening. Roughly 30 hours of onstage time last week. I desperately need to listen to music that isn't by The Four Seasons.

Hey. Yeah, you, hey: if you are not currently sick or disabled, one day you will be, and you will wish you lived in a world that had the resources and culture to make your life as full and thriving and happy as anyone else's. You will want that world, and you can start helping make it, right now.

Dude at this gig had a positive covid test yesterday and is here coughing non-stop, just raw dogging the air. Thanks CDC.

Today is the two year anniversary of my first release as those.you.forgot.to.burn. In celebration of that, and bandcamp Friday, the pricing has been set to pay what you want for today. Hopefully this little journey of self acceptance brings some light to the day.

A good pick up for today.

2.15 - 2.25 listening list. Some interesting stuff here, and I intend (time permitting) to revisit a couple of these.

This is from Martin Luther King, Jr.'s "Racism and the White Backlash" in Where Do We Go From Here: Chaos or Community? This is how we should understand all of the transphobic rhetoric we've heard today. This is how we should understand the content of that interview. This is the logic of genocide.

Periodic reminder that you can be young, healthy, 5x boosted, get “mild” Covid and end up with permanent and (as of now) irreversible immune damage w the lymphocyte levels of an AIDS patient. This is why it’s so crucial to PREVENT infection by wearing an N95, ventilating the air, and avoiding crowds

Reposting this so folks can maybe get some kind of idea what we deal with regarding healthcare.

Fourth and final Fund Day Friday of Black History Month. Let’s get Black folk the money they need. Drop your funds and links: - Mutual Aid - Abortion - Transition - Reparations - Whatever you need Please make sure you’re adding alt text and making your skeets as accessible as possible.

Listening list for 2.12 - 2.18. Work has made it difficult to do much outside of, well, working, but thanks to the general apathy of folks regarding covid, 4 gigs have been canceled (so I have time to catch up).

Pretty early into the pandemic my wife and I got annoyed at not being able to eat good pizza, so we just started making pizza every week. French onion sauce, kale, garlic, veggie sausage, mozzarella, and muenster.

We are in a different phase of the pandemic than 2020. But please be careful about saying that "we are in a better place." For many people who have lost loved ones, have Long COVID, are higher risk and excluded from society due to lack of protections, this simply isn't true.

2.5 - 2.11 listening list. Hopefully I manage to find time to listen to music this week. Last week work was rough, but it's going to be an intense month or so.
