Transcription & translation are central to molecular biology, producing mRNAs & proteins. While our cells compartmentalize these in nucleus & cytoplasm, in bacteria both occur simultaneously in the same compartment. Thus ribosomes translate mRNAs that RNA polymerase is currently transcribing 1/n 🧪
