When you take money that doesn’t belong to you, that used to be considered theft.

Umm, you may be generalizing a bit too much.

I’ve been saying that more than a traditional presidential administration, what we have is an international crime syndicate operating out of the White House.

“First they came…”, right? And as they say, we’re about 3 lines into it, and it’s a short poem.

My uncle was a Navy doctor stationed in Espiritu Santo Island in the Pacific for WW II. During the war, he saved lives. After the war, he helped mothers give birth. At retirement, he established a medical scholarship at Tufts. I’m proud of him.

Police are supposed to enforce the law. Kidnapping is against the law.

Exactly! ICE patches, hats and jackets are sold online. How do the victims know who is kidnapping them? How do police know? And if police know, why can’t they tell the victims and their family and neighbors?

Wouldn’t it be nice to see the people who have the power to make our lives better or worse, choose to make them better?

And then 47’s barbarians threaten the senator’s families, and they cave.

I got a fairly technical degree also and learned over time that your vote really, really matters.

Not to be political but:

I think it’s safe to say the people on SNAP assistance know more about what they should buy than politicians who are on federal per diem.

Yes! Racism is pretty much everywhere, in everything, so there’s lots of opportunities to speak out. I wish the local police were protecting their communities against masked unidentified, warrantless kidnappers now, not protecting the kidnappers.

If Vance were in charge temporarily, I suppose he could pardon 47 for his private crimes. 🤬

He didn’t transfer presidential powers to Vance temporarily. So…

If he’s not president while meeting with these people, does that mean Vance will be in charge? Doesn’t that have to be made official?

Do R voters care, as long as they keep kidnapping and trafficking immigrants out of the country? Is there any personal financial pain that would make them change their minds?

If they refuse to identify themselves, or the agency they work for, or show badges or bench warrants, why can’t they be arrested for impersonating law enforcement? Do we just believe their Etsy-bought jackets?

You negotiate. You use diplomacy. You use peaceful disobedience. Violence begets violence.

I honestly feel that everyone should be able to live in peace. Palestine, Israel, and all the other neighboring nations should respect the respective rights of all to exist and live in peace.

My opinion is that it was a horrendous error by Hamas to attack Israel. They made a strategic error. They had to know their action would result in massive destruction of Palestine, and they apparently didn’t care, or wanted it.
comment in response to

I know, right? Everyone remembers the brutal attack by Hamas that killed innocents, took civilian hostages and started the conflict.

Did Hamas play any role in the Gaza conflict? I’m trying to remember when they called for peace talks.

Fine. But any positive outcome that may be written about will not be due to people fleeing the regime.
comment in response to

History will focus on those who stayed to fight domestic fascism, I suspect. The books will be written about the heroes who bravely opposed the regime in spite of personal peril.

They know the 2026 midterms could doom them. They’re not sitting on their hands waiting to see what happens. These will be the most unfair, skewed, suppressed, manipulated elections in our history.

To be more fair, there is not a single Democrat with 34 felony convictions. In fact, I doubt there is more than 1 American with 34 felony convictions. So, comparing Rs to Ds is a false equivalency on all levels.

There’s a simple way to solve this problem. Make negative poll results illegal, punishable with imprisonment for all involved in their creation. Piece of cake.
