The double ll is usually a sort of -tl- sound, whereas I think the Welsh is more of a -hl-

Yes, erupts every 5-7mins or so, while the Great Geysir slumbers for decades at a time. So you saw the actual Geysir? Apparently it erupted much higher and for longer than Strokkur does?

Oh I don't know! Mine was some silly fun, yours was beautiful and kinda fun, as long as you didn't actually need to go anywhere! We never get much snow here, if any, but I wouldn't mind an occasional snow day! ❄️
