Nivida really dislikes investing time and money into their consumer grade products, the same team that could fix their free drivers could also generate millions by working on their enterprise products development.

New consoles feel like new phones now, "the same thing but a bit better", technology is so expensive now that they can't make huge leaps forward because then it becomes a $800 Nintendo.

Nintendo's NFT DRM

Managing a digital asset like a real life asset is the worst possible DRM implementation out there, I bet Sony is taking notes and they'll also end the primary/secondary console license sharing.
Imagine trying to watch a movie on your phone but getting a message "sorry that movie IS IN your iPad"

And they also don't need the press to sell every single shipped Switch 2

The catch is that they are desperate for people to start using their store for more than just launching Fortnite, in the future once the store is more established with more people using it (if ever) they'll probably increase their fees to the industry standard.

UE5 runs so poorly on consoles that i'll consider that demo as pure bullshot until the final game comes out.

That was a legendary RedBull choke, unnecessary pit stop, putting hards, and then Max acting like a baby.

Not many companies around would make an offer for the whole EA, I bet 90% of the offers they receive are only for the EA Sports part.

Don't know if it's still the case but previously to be eligible for the discount your PS+ subscription must have lapsed at least a week before the new sale begins.
comment in response to

That sounds completely reasonable but there're multiple Nintendo executives thinking "hmmm maybe with an always online DRM we could have sold ∞ more hardware and software"
There's never enough in capitalism.

No discounts for PS+ members that want to extend their current subscription tells a lot about the current state of PlayStation, Sony needs every cent they can out of them.

Nintendo knows they don't need to start a big marketing push yet because early adapters and fans are going to buy every available unit anyways.

While the Steam OS dev team can quickly iterate on functions and build support, the Windows-Xbox dev team has to attend 50 weekly meetings on how primordial it is to implement Teams and Recall into the Xbox ecosystem, but in reality they really want to work on making hibernate work as supposed.

Got like $30 back by redeeming points, probably almost bankrupted them, they need all the money they can to keep financing Fairgame$ and Marathon

Buying boosters to complete a collection or find a specific card is an insanely bad deal, WoTC perfected the technique of turning cardboard into gold. (And that's without scalpers prices)

There's no way that game gets released, the excitement around it is even lower than what Concord managed to lift before the disaster.
Also, a shout out to Warner executives for also blowing money like there's no tomorrow.

The current FIA president is as crooked as a mob boss can get, but suddenly the new FIA president has to be a Saint.
What could he possibly do to benefit his son? Completely ignore the safety car rules during the last race of the championship?

I think there's a very high level executive at MS really working for Apple with a mission to destroy any reputation Windows has, never in my life I've seen or heard more people thinking about giving Linux or MacOS a serious try like now, that Windows 10 end of support will (minimally) hurt them.

Yes, performance optimization is almost a dead art now (specially on pc), developers throw every bell and whistle into the game and its up to the deep learning supersampling and frame insertion to make the game playable, and when the next console gen comes (PSSR) it will be the norm.

The comeback of very thin phones are a sign that companies are getting ready for phones/devices that are essentially a camera that off loads all the processing to the cloud/ai.

There's probably like 300 executives inside Microsoft whose sole purpose is to harass a group of developers to mess with the Start Menu every year.
And those developers protect other dev teams by sacrificing themselves in this endeavor containing the opinion of 300 executives within the Start Menu.
