The speed/mass differential between bike & pedestrian is small; between car & bike/pedestrian is enormous. Add malice to the mix and you understand why I quit riding.
Perhaps fewer cars and consistently prosecuting drivers at fault would make streets safe for riders and sidewalks safer for peds.

This promising 16yo girl with legitimate talent and Olympic aspirations was riding with her dad when a hit-and-run driver killed her. Not immediately. Her father had to make the decision to unplug her from life support.

While riding in marked bike lanes, drivers have brushed or hit me, turned in front of me, "burned coal," yelled obscenities, and thrown bottles, cans, boxes of nails, water/drinks, trash. I've buried at least a dozen friends killed by drivers who faced no consequences.

I took my then 9yo daughter on our tandem for Father's Day about 18 years ago. We were on the shoulder of a wide road, at least 10' away from traffic. A passing truck threw a 3' tow chain at us. It went over her and hit me in the back of the head.

I'm wondering about the order of installation.
- The chandelier, which necessitated the rear-view cam?
- The rear-view cam, which created the opportunity to pump up the elegance, sophistication and class?

When I was 16, an HBPD motor officer kicked out the taillight on my car, pulled me over, searched my car, and ticketed me for the broken taillight.

Huntington Beach isn't exactly adjacent to Los Angeles, so I'm guessing this is a convenient union of ideologies.

Anyone suggesting the eight year gap indicates these are unrelated events should look up "1980 Moscow Olympics boycott."

Although many recipes benefit from using more than the recommended amount, don't add too much garlic to cake.
I can also confirm what others are saying about frosting. Double the recipe so there's an ample amount for taste testing.

Without context, this sounds like something Kissinger would have said off the record.
