I appreciate that. I really DO want to follow them, they’re great. Just right now, the tone is rubbing me the wrong way.

I truly and honestly wish them all the best, and I hope their success returns to higher than their former levels. Not even in a "so he can stop being sarcastic" way, just because I do admire them and wish them well.

The medium is seeing an across the board decline, and some creators like them are facing an end of YouTube being a viable career. And that really is sad, and I don't know how I'd take it if I was losing that kind of thing. But just...there's a bitterness to the tone I can't handle anymore.

Now, I don't know if they'll ever see this, I don't want to push it in their face and don't pretend they should care that one person is disengaging. But if they do, I want to say that I certainly understand it. I've never had...hell, SUCCESS as a creator, let alone to the degree they have.

For a while now, the happy-go-lucky, feel-good vibe of the content and especially the social media posts...has been gone. Lately it seems like every post on either channel has a sarcastic tone about how there are so many wonderful videos to watch, since viewership is down.

But...the vibe has been sliding for a while now. There was the whole incident with LivingRangerKey, and while I tried to see their side, it really came across as bullying a smaller creator for calling them out. And it's what they were called out for that caused me to unfollow.

Please please please tell me this is leading to a “Good Enough Sunmary of Metal Gear” video…

If you go, say hi to Firass for me! He probably won't remember but we had an amazing group conversation after Rangerstop Orlando one year.

Unfortunately no. I’m not near con going finances at this point.

Oh, and for anyone worried about me generating all this content while working an 8-5 job...there's actually THREE nights a week I don't work on videos. Tuesdays I play D&D, Fridays I visit my mom...and Wednesdays I've decided to take as JUST a night off.

Bringing order to this chaos really has me feeling kind of invigorated about making content. What my brain needs is efficiency and routine. It needs to be like a dance...1-2-3, 1-2-3. I KNOW routines are always disrupted, but right now, I LIKE this system!

ALSO...I've noticed some people finding me on TikTok lately due to my news video about the Disney+ series, so I've decided to really focus on making content for TikTok! Both channels will get their own...well...channels, a mix of clips from videos and my own original content.

If I can stay on pace with this, the Dragon Knight Reviews will be DONE in August. And after that...I have options! At the moment I'm thinking either of going back to comic reviews, or reviewing Power Rangers Time Force, my favorite season of Power Rangers.

We're coming up on FOUR YEARS since I started the Dragon Knight reviews. That's not ALL due to not having a schedule but I have posted only FIVE of the 23 episodes I've reviewed so far in 2025. Basically 1 review A MONTH. That's not good enough. This channel does better numbers than that.

This will help me CONSISTENTLY post content on Orange Ranger Videos, which is something I've wanted for a long time. It also balances with @orangerangerplays.bsky.social, where I've been posting 3 episodes a week, but I'm dropping 1 episode a week there to get Dragon Knight going.

A strong episode, but it always feels like such a missed opportunity that DS9 hints that the Founders did the same thing, the lead Founder is played by the SAME ACTRESS…and there is no connection.

Awesome bag, but gosh dang Melissa are you looking fantastic lately!

The movie came out right after Episode 14, so it's not like it takes place after 10 but came out around the 30s. MAYBE, MAYBE it was timed for the DVD release? I don't know...but this thing DESPERATELY needed another 10-30 minutes to make it feel like it had a point.
comment in response to post
That's another thing. I get the focus of the movie being a one-shot little kid...but there's a schoolgirl and some guy who get lots of focus JUST BEING THERE. Again, maybe they become important later, but we're supposed to remember them six months after the film?

This is not cute seeding the story for hints of what's to come! It's a splashy epic battle that we know NOTHING ABOUT. Then 34 comes around and we're supposed to go "Oh yeah, THAT guy's back."? There's also a strong hint that the whole thing was a DREAM by soccer kid what that was there.

"The film takes place between Chapter 10 and 11. Bahato and Emotional Dragon are later acknowledged in the series from Episode 34 onwards." The film is Episode 10.5 and comes back into the story about TWENTY-THREE EPISODES LATER. In terms of airing time that's almost SIX MONTHS.

Wow, this guy's strong. Here Touma, here's a power-up that ALSO comes from nowhere. Now before anyone says it, Falchion's line "You may see me again sooner than you think" and being locked away portends to more (and yes, I spoiled myself enough to see he DOES come back), but here's my issue.
comment in response to post
Touma's character in this is LITERALLY his catchphrase, "I decide how this story will end." And the rest of the Riders may have well shown up transformed since they get even less. Falchion shows up FROM NOWHERE, and literally just wants to destroy everything...because conflict?

All the cons are wrapped within how RUSHED this thing is! There's no development. It has less story than an episode which makes sense because it's SHORTER than an episode. I don't get how Japanese "movies" work, I know this was double-billed but still, at least 30 minutes, and why not AN HOUR?

Let me start with the pros. Kamen Rider Falchion is 1) ORANGE, and 2) BADASS. Great theming, great powers, really believed he was a match for Saber even at the end. There's a cute lesson about following your dreams and doing what you want to do. We at least see all the Riders at the time.

I'm so so sorry. My kitty Jadzia and I mourn for your loss. As Jon suggested, take some time away to grieve. The community is here for you.

The AI thing was a little of it, but it's really more just getting MMPR as the Power Rangers TV show...AGAIN.

I mean true, the coins look kinda cheap, but that still seems like a LOT of value for that price point.
