Yes!! Okay, so no lie: I’ve included this fact in a lesson about barbecue in my US history class, along with the fact that (a) voting is compulsory in AUS and (b) it’s tomato sauce not ketchup. And it always ends with kids saying “okay where’s my sausage when I register to vote?” 😂

This was literally all my students would talk about for all of Thursday and Friday. When I told them the only way it would get solved is if two of them volunteered to be live bait and a distraction, it turned into the most Looney Tunes conversation I’ve ever heard in my life 😂

I’m locking my WIPs and anything I post going forward. It sucks, because I also love lurkers, but I’ve had my comments locked down to users only because of hate I got a few years ago. Maybe I’ll change my mind, but for the moment, this feels good to me. Hopefully that changes, I want it to!
